When you have broad topics to research, e.g., biochemistry, engineering, microbiology, etc., it's more efficient to use Internet Directories (Open Directory Project) versus search engines (Google). Directories offer students categories to search (assistive navigation) and all the websites/resources/links in a directory have been examined by a editor (a human) before being committed to the directory. Directories are gateways to the Deep Web or Invisible Web--those websites that Google and other search engines cannot see (index) including scholarly papers and collections. Use Directories to locate resources that can help you research ISEF categories and subcategories.
